Bridge joints, bolts, shackles, rails, and load-bearing members depend on surface integrity. Corrosion reduces cross-sectional strength, accelerates fatigue, and increases maintenance cost.
Semi-fluid calcium sulfonate coatings enhanced with FUNCTIONAL grease polymers — or structured gel systems based on FUNCTIONAL GL Series technology — can be fortified with CI Series amine phosphates and DM Series demulsifiers to resist water intrusion and film degradation. The objective is sustained film persistence, moisture resistance, and long-term barrier performance in infrastructure environments.
For lighter-duty applications, low-viscosity rust preventative fluids used in machine shops benefit from targeted component selection or complete FUNCTIONAL RO Series packages. These systems support utility oils, multi-purpose “3-in-1” fluids, and vanishing oils designed to protect freshly processed metal surfaces without heavy residue.
