Functional Products updates to 2018 Ecolabel
Functional Products Inc. has long supported the environmentally acceptable lubricant market and been listed on the European Ecolabel‘s Lubricant Substance Classification (LuSC) list.
Functional Products Inc. has completed the re-listing on the new 2018 Ecolabel list for V-508/508F/508M, V-584, and PD-590. Future additives will be included on the new list going forward. Ecolabel SGP- and HF- additive packages are still in filing.

Functional Products Inc. wins NLGI 2018 Development Author Award
Functional Products Inc. presented current research at 85th Annual NLGI grease conference in Coeur D’Alene Idaho. The topic was blending different viscosity index (VI) improver chemistries to obtain high performance at low cost and how the interaction of blended papers influences the VI and low temperature behavior.
The paper received the 2018 Development Author Award for “for the best paper presented at our Annual Meeting that focuses on formulation, development, and manufacture of finished greases.”
Functional Products Inc. wins PPC Gonsalves Award at NLGI India
Functional Products received the PPC Gonsalves Award for best foreign paper at the 20th annual conference of the NLGI India Chapter at Amritsar, Punjab, India.

Functional Products Inc. has acquired the PARATAC line of polyisobutylene-based tackifiers from Infineum. This includes Paratac and Paratac XT.

V-508 and V-508M Added to LuSC Listing
FUNCTIONAL V-508 and FUNCTIONAL V-508M have been approved for inclusion on the Lubricant Substance Classification (LuSC) list as thickeners that can be used in European Ecolabel certified products without further data collection by the formulator. FUNCTIONAL V-508 and FUNCTIONAL V-508M are compatible in many of the LuSC listed base fluids. The data found on the LuSC may also be used in Vessel General Permit (VGP) applications.
